Star of salvation
The poet, novelist and essayist Stefan Hertmans wrote Star of salvation, a Radiobook that transports us to the other end of the planet. Now that the days of the earth are numbered, the crowd reacts hysterically or with resignation. Some are mad with fear, while others decide to party their way to death or to experience a final romance.

Biography
Stefan Hertmans
Stefan Hertmans (b. 1951) has published three novels, two collections of short stories and dozens of collections of poems. A representative of postmodernism in Flanders and the Netherlands, he is regarded as one of today's most important poets. His first novel, Ruimte, was published in 1981 and won the Flemish First Novel Award. Naar Merelbeke (1994) was nominated for the Libris Literature Prize. A year later his collection of poems Muziek voor de overtocht won the triennial Flemish Community Prize. In recent years Hertmans has mainly written essays on current affairs and art. In 2004 he published his 'literary thriller' Harder dan sneeuw and in 2006 Muziek voor de overtocht. Gedichten 1975-2005.
